Excerpts from Reviews:
“With horror in their hearts and minds, Grim Ravine showcase just why the term ‘extreme blackened doom’ is quite fitting for their sound. At their lightest, they beckon from across the void and at their heaviest they demand ritual sacrifices to the old gods. Put the two together, perfectly flowing from one to the other as if this was the way it was always supposed to be, and we get an album that is as weighty as it is epic.”

"Some bands pretend to be grim, some bands try really hard to sound miserable as fuck and try as they might, miss the mark by a mile. Grim Ravine are not playing around here. To make this much misery and heaviness takes a real knack. But what really is mind-melting here is the way this lot can scream, growl and pummel us, and then, magically blend in a clean vocal not unlike that of Field Of The Nephilim."
"This is truly exhausting, crushing and a must for those who like their music a little more extreme than usual. 9/10"

"The material in this four-song full length carries an inherent emotive quality akin to being ever so slowly and methodically tortured. I mean that in the best possible way."

"...It’s a long way down is an artful piece of Extreme Metal. Grim Ravine created an atmosphere of dread, doom, and terror. With a careful injection of metal shards taken freely from the realms of Death, Doom, and Black Metal. Mix in some ambients and disturbing clear vocals and you have a metal medley of tasty, sludgy doom. Something we definitely want more of. And so will you, Cthulhu’s call is powerful. Make no mistake."

“In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Grim Ravine and if you are a fan of atmospheric black, sludge and doom metal, you should check out this album. ”
